Institutional Collaboration
All partner institutions are expected to make a financial contribution for a minimum of three years toward the 10-year research project, with the contribution determined by their student volume. In addition, each partner institution will appoint one representative to serve as a member of the GCRC Council. "The mandate of the Council is to enhance the program through the strategic integration of new concepts, addressing academic, methodological, and applied perspectives."
Requirements for Sponsoring Membership
Dual Participation of Universities and Study Abroad Providers in the GCRC Is Possible (*)
To avoid duplication or overlap, if a university wishes to participate in the research in collaboration with a Study Abroad provider institution, we welcome both institutions to agree to contribute jointly and become members of the research consortium. In such cases, the Global Experience Certification Badge may be awarded to and used by both institutions. In most cases, the financial contribution to the research is shared between the university and the Study Abroad provider.
(*)Note that this option will be considered and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Member or sponsoring institutions provide all participating students with a certification. The institution itself also receives a certification reflecting the improvement of its student body in global competencies. In addition, each institution receives an annual research report based on aggregated data. Individual institutional results as well as student results are strictly confidential and are never shared with any third party.
